Caitlin D. Johnston

My hope is to achieve a pure and subtle strength in my work, maintaining integrity and wholeness of form. And for the viewer to acknowledge the forms as being familiar but not immediately identifiable. I use the variation in the translucency of cast glass to enhance the depth and strength of form. The forms are often reminiscent of objects, shapes, and patterns that are found in nature.
